LINK Strategic Partners Receives the Fatherly Best Place to Work Award for New Dads

DC-Based Communications & Community Engagement Firm Receives Prestigious Distinction for Its HR Offerings to New Dads

WASHINGTON (March 27, 2020) – LINK Strategic Partners is proud to announce it has been certified as one of Fatherly’s Best Places to Work for New Dads in 2020. Fifty companies nationwide were named to the list, and were selected based on a strategic focus on offering programs that support new dads.

Fatherly’s Best Places to Work for Dads program honors a wide variety of sectors and a shared and singular commitment to ensuring the wellbeing of working parents. All of the companies selected for the 2020 list shared a tremendous focus on ensuring the participation in programs by their employees and how these changes will positively affect workplace culture moving forward.

“As a social impact firm, we strive to make lasting change in the communities we partner with. That change has to start at home, and we are proud to change how firms are doing business in an effort to allow our team members to always keep family first. We believe in a work/life blend and culture at LINK, and are honored that Fatherly has recognized our model!” said LINK President Michael Akin, proud father of a 22 month old son.

LINK was celebrated for its revolutionary policies around paternal leave, as well as its support for foster and adoptive parents. It also received recognition for its flexible work from home policies, and inclusion of children at work events. LINK’s concept of “work-life blend” allows for all team members to prioritize family first while also succeeding and advancing professionally.

“Since LINK’s founding in 2012, we’ve worked steadfastly to build a family-oriented culture and business, and make the right commitments to our employees to help them grow and succeed in life and work,” said LINK Chief Operating Officer Corey Barenbrugge. “As a father to two young boys and an executive for a growing company, I’m proud of those commitments, and I’m grateful for the flexibility I’ve had in starting and raising my family.”

Other companies named to the 2020 List include Bank of America, eBay, and IBM, amongst other notable recipients.
