Paola I. Asprilla is part of the Associate team at LINK. She is a proud Colombian, born in Buenaventura, and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Journalism from Universidad Autónoma de Cali, where her passion for strategic communication, community outreach, and research was born. This passion led her to work at various organizations, including Sociedad Portuaria de Buenaventura, The Chamber of Commerce of Buenaventura, and Promovalle y Promocali.

From a very young age, she always had a fascination with the English language and North American culture. Because her middle and high school years were spent in a bilingual school, she dreamed of pursuing her professional and personal life in the United States of America. At 16 years old, she decided to move from Colombia to Kitsap County, WA to complete her senior year of high school and improve her second language, thus enhancing her professional skills. After gaining professional experience in Colombia, she made the decision to return to the USA through the Au Pair in America program, where one of her achievements was helping the girl she took care of become bilingual.

Besides working at LINK, Paola is a substitute teacher at Pine Hill Middle School in Camden County, NJ, where every day she tries to impart knowledge to her students while at the same time learning from them. Additionally, she is improving her photography skills to keep growing her small photography business, which is focused on portrait, lifestyle, and family photography.

In her free time, Paola enjoys watching movies or TV series with her family and traveling. Her favorite destinations include Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and Barcelona.
