BS in Communications from the S.I. Newhouse School at Syracuse University MFA in Screenwriting from the University of Southern California

Majy Gibboney is a DC native raised by civil rights activists who imparted a deep respect for education and a commitment to social justice. She carried these values into the classroom, teaching high school English in Los Angeles and Maryland for two decades. Though she left education to pursue a career in communications, she continues to promote equity and inclusion in all she does. She believes we can solve our nation’s problems by working harmoniously with diverse participants to create practices and policies rooted in empathy; she brings this passion for collaboration to her work at LINK Strategic Partners.

Before her career as an educator, Majy held several positions, including canvasser, event coordinator, production assistant, and waitress. She works gracefully in fast-paced environments because of her talent for relationship-building and lightning-quick adaptability. Over the past two years, she has volunteered as a speaker, marketing consultant, and copywriter for nonprofits and small, women-owned businesses. She brings her drive, strategic thinking, and innovative approach to amplify her clients' voices.

Majy earned her undergraduate degree in Communications from the S.I. Newhouse School at Syracuse University and her graduate degree in Screenwriting from the University of Southern California. Her curiosity motivates her to ask courageous questions, continue to take courses, listen closely to thought leaders, and take on new opportunities at LINK.

In her spare time, Majy participates in three book clubs, tutors aspiring writers, checks out new restaurants, thrifts, and spoils her two cats.
