LINK Strategic Partners Listed as One of the D.C. Region’s Best Places to Work by the Washington Business Journal

DC-based firm to be in Special Awards event at MGM National Harbor on May 16

WASHINGTON (April 7, 2019) — Social impact firm LINK Strategic Partners (LINK) was named as one of the best 100 companies to work for in the Greater Washington area. Businesses were chosen based on survey responses from employees themselves, rather than a panel of outside judges.

Best Places to Work honorees will be honored May 16 at a special awards event at MGM National Harbor. Honorees will also be featured in the May 17 issue of the Washington Business Journal.

LINK was founded in 2012 with five full-time employees in 2012 sharing a small office space in Washington, D.C. Since then, it has more than quadrupled the size of its staff, and has expanded across the nation (although only DC-area employees were included in the survey). Since its inception, LINK has forged an entire industry at the intersection of strategic communications and “hyperlocal” community engagement—proving the market viability of a firm that does only community-serving work in a way that is impactful, profitable, and sustainable.

“This award means so much, as it is based on anonymous survey feedback from our incredible team,” said Michael Akin, president of LINK. “We have built a very special firm, together.”

The comprehensive survey included questions around perks, leadership, office space, culture, and more. Honorees are the 100 Greater Washington companies that scored highest among hundreds of employers that participated in Omaha, Nebraska-based Quantum Workplace’s annual employee engagement survey.
